Live out your passion!

Here's a wonderfully detailed guide to living your dream:

Live Your Passion

I have read a quote recently but now I cannot remember where about - everyone having a purpose here on earth, maybe yours is watching television.
How concerned are you with living your purpose? Is this something important to you?
I've recently had a conversation with a friend about the reasons behind wanting to accomplish your dreams and he said it's all about proving a point, proving it to yourself that you can do it. I don't think it's this, it's all about meaning and feeling like you are doing something meaningful. Living out your passions. I have always admired and looked up to people who have managed from nothing to make a living out of their passion. What can be better than that?

Wayne Dyer: "Don't die with your music still in you."

  1. can't say I'm bothered about having a purpose. maybe that means I'm a lower life form, but I think many people would feel the same. why do I need a purpose? I just wanna live and enjoy it.

  2. of course it's fine not having a purpose! But I would argue that your kids are your passion.

  3. most people have kids, and it's not usually considered a purpose in itself. perhaps wrongly so. it's a controversial topic actually.
for instance, my sister in law is pregnant with her ninth child. she had never done anything else important (she was busy you know!!) and after a certain age, all her kids' relationship with her gets strenous and eventually sewered.
she and I think her purpose in life was to breed children, and how amazing and noble, but the majority think she is just a pest on society.
    who's right?
